Location History
Village very active in middle ages. built buy a hermit who fonded a convent in the 8th Century. In the 9th Century the rests of Sainte Foy were stolen and gifts were made to Conques which became an center of pilgrimage. In the 11th and 12th Centuries, Conques became a stage on the way of Compostelle. At this time the village built its ramparts.
