Location History
On the island of Impressionists, in Chatou, where it was installed since 1902, the Nautical Club of Chatou moved to Les Mureaux in 1929 on the basin which had received in 1900 and 1924 the Olympic sailing events.
It took the current name of Yacht Club of the Ile de France, in 1939.
Its facilities were bombed because of the proximity to the aerodrome during the Second World War. But the club resumed its post-war activities, with a particular interest in the conservation, restoration and navigation of traditional sailing ships.
