Location History
This dovecote is the only vestige of a hospital established by the Countess of Meulan, at the edge of the city of Les Mureaux.
Damaged by the Hundred Years' War and less and less frequented, the hospital was reunited at the Hôtel-Dieu of Meulan by Louis XIV and then turned into a farm, and finally, sold for auction in 1926.
The last buildings, in ruins, were razed in 1982, with an exception for the dovecote which was restored.
