The Vallée des Merveilles takes its name from the thousands of engravings dating from prehistoric times on colored stone slabs, the "ciappe".
Located to the west of Mont Bego and perched at an altitude of more than 2,000 m in the heart of the Mercantour Park, it offers the austere beauty of a mineral and chaotic landscape, at the foot of imposing peaks mirrored in multiple lakes with evocative names.
