Location History
The dam project was launched in the 50, with the aim of creating a reserve of water that would promote crop diversification, including the development of fruit production, viticulture becoming surproductive. Secondarily, the dam would aim to regulate the flood of Hérault. Work began in 1964 to extend until early 1969.
