Location History
The Look-out post(Observatory) of Meudon is implanted on a former (ancient) royal domain, fitted out at the beginning of the XVIth century with the construction of a castle the Renaissance for Duchess d’ Etampes. The current activity of the Look-out post (Observatory) feeds on diverse observations (telescopes of height, satellites) and recovers all the domains of the astronomy: we study not only the sun, but also the planets, the stars and the galaxies, as well as the interplanetary and intersidereal gas.
