General presentation
Quiberville-sur-Mer is a coastal commune on the Côte d'Albâtre with fewer than 600 inhabitants.
It adjoins the communes of Saint-Aubin-sur-Mer and Sainte-Marguerite-sur-Mer.
Quiberville-sur-Mer combines the charm of a small seaside resort with the calm of the countryside!
Don't forget to look up to enjoy the splendid spectacle offered by our cliffs! On one side, the whiteness that gives this coastline its name, the Côte d'Albâtre, and on the other, Cap d'Ailly, where the brown of the clay blends in. At their feet, the famous pebbles fashioned by the rolling waves from layers of flint detached from the chalk by landslides in the distant past.
Quiberville-sur-Mer also boasts one of the largest expanses of sand at low tide,
Location History
The town of Quiberville sur Mer has been a popular destination since the 19th century, with the advent of the Dieppe sea baths, and by 1895 had become a full-fledged seaside resort.
Bathing establishments, cabins, hotels, cottages for rent and local shops flourished on the beach, and fishermen's cottages rubbed shoulders with sumptuous seaside villas like La Rafale, which you can see on the way up to the village.
Tourism in Quiberville was born, and has continued to develop to the present day, where the resort continues to enjoy its reputation as a dynamic nautical activity, a gastronomic destination with a rural and maritime terroir, and an ideal place to recharge your batteries in the peace and quiet of the Normandy countryside.
