Location History
The clergy was the owner of the village. He found there regular refuge and he often opposed to the inhabitants who refused to pay the tax. Called "The Small Carcassonne of the Gers", this castral village was never taken. The inhabitants whose houses strengthen the outer walls assured their own protection,without the assistance of any garrison.This village was saved from the ruin at the beginning of the XX-th century by American donators who fell in love with the place.
