Undertaken at the beginning of the 20th century, this extension forms an apotheosis of the horror vacui (fear of the void) dear to the Belle Epoque. The ballroom is inspired by neo-rococo style and has been freely adapted from a London café frequented by Oscar Wilde, and which impressed Edward Tuck.
