At the entrance of the Gorges de l'Hérault, it was built between 1025 and 1030. It is considered one of the oldest medieval bridge french and reflects the introduction of the first Romanesque art in the region. Included in the Supplementary Inventory of Historical Monuments in 1945, has since 1998, listed as World Heritage by UNESCO under the path of Saint Jacques de Compostela in France. Today, for crossing the river, go along the Pont Neuf, built in 1932.
