The city of Provins is registered since December 13, 2001 on the list of the world heritage of UNESCO.
In the Middle Ages, it was the ancient capital of the Counts of Champagne and one of the most prosperous cities thanks to the famous fairs. Fortifications, churches, convents, patrician houses and picturesque streets are all preserved testimonies of this wealth.
