Location History
A factory used to be established on the location. The city bought it in 1922 to become the first municipal gym. An architect was chosen in 1926. The building was designed to be multi-purpose (events, shows and sports).
In 1936, the city chose to put a stage in. Besides, the new built schools got their own gyms. As a consequence, the Emile Zola hall lost its sports purposes to become a village hall, used as well by associations for their activities.
