Location History
The Château de Maisons is the master piece of the famous architect François Mansart, built between 1632 and 1646 for René de Longueil, a wealthy Member of Parliament. It has served as the residence of the Count of Artois, who would later become King Charles X of France, General Lannes and, lastly, Jacques Lafitte. It constitutes the centerpiece of a large ensemble lined up in perspective.
