Location History
The current castle Bresteau was built between 1480 and 1518 by Mathurin. We are the 17th family that lives in this castle. The ancient castle of Bresteau was located in the municipality of Lombron 7 km and was destroyed by the English to 1404. The castle has undergone many changes mainly in the 19th. In its construction, the castle Bresteau had on its facade three levels cross, the center was flanked by two watchtowers. This facade was altered by the family of Broc shortly before 1815. Between 1826 and 1863 M. de Bonnière replaced the turrets on the back by two pavilions.
